Welcome to the Osceola Fundamental High School Band Family. The 2011-2012 school year gives us all the opportunity to continue to build on the new tradition of excellence that is trademark of the Osceola Band Program. Congratulation on your decision to be a part of the fastest growing band program in the county. The Osceola Band provides musical activities that encompass a wide scope and allows everyone a chance to reach their highest possible level of excellence. The fall season emphasizes the excellence of our outstanding marching band. Our performances will include home and away football games, as well as several competitions. The competitions will likely include the FBA marching Band Assessment, Seminole Sound, Largo Band of Gold, Lions Pride, Mainers Preview of Champions, ans State FMBC Finals. The Osceola Band Program features outstanding concert organizations, jazz ensembles, and a percussion ensemble. The concert band, Symphonic band, and Wind Ensemble, as well as Jazz Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble will present several public concerts as well as assessments at the District and State levels by the Florida Bandmasters Association. In Addition to the ensemble success, members of the Osceola Band Program distinguish themselves through individual efforts in All-County, All-State, USF Festival of Winds, Quad County ( UT), Tri-County ( FSU), Solo and Ensemble Festival, and other Honor Band Activities. The Osceola Color Guard and Percussion Ensemble are growing programs that offer activities to showcase the talents of our color guard and percussion members during Marching Season, as well as the winter and spring months. These groups will compete and travel to regional events. Hard-working students, dedicated staff members, involved and active parents, and a supportive administration and community, all combine to make it possible for the Osceola Band Program to offer an array of musical opportunities. Our students are expected to set and reach high goals for themselves and their program of choice. The rewards of meeting those expectations are immeasurable in the development of our students as well-rounded human beings. Members of the Osceola Band will develop musically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and physically during their time in the program.
